Pension Planning
Off Piste Wealth provides independent pension planning advice to clients in London and Kent — from consolidating old workplace pensions to building a sustainable retirement income. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (firm reference number 955277).
Who this is for
People who have built up several pensions across different jobs and want them working towards one clear retirement goal, and those approaching retirement who need to decide how and when to draw an income.
The problem we usually see
Pensions scattered across providers, no clear picture of what they'll deliver, and uncertainty about charges, fund choices and whether any older policy carries valuable guarantees worth keeping. Consolidating without checking those details can quietly cost you money.
How our pension advice works
We start with a full fact-find, then trace and review every pension you hold — including any guaranteed benefits or exit penalties — before recommending whether consolidation or transfer is right for you. Any defined benefit transfer over £30,000 legally requires regulated advice, and we handle that with appropriate care. You receive a written recommendation with costs agreed in advance, reviewed at least annually.
Common questions
Should I consolidate my pensions? Sometimes — it can simplify management and reduce cost, but only after checking you won't lose guarantees or pay unnecessary exit fees. That check is the advice.
Do I need an adviser to transfer? Not for standard defined contribution pots, but advice is required by law for defined benefit transfers over £30,000, and is often worthwhile where the sums are large.
What does it cost? We confirm our charges in writing before any work begins.
Regulated, independent advice
As an independent firm we advise across the whole market, not a restricted panel.
